Coupang Offers High Pay for 618 Event: $720 Hourly Wage, User Earns Over $10,000 in 3 Days

As the 618 Mid-Year Shopping Festival approaches, demand for logistics labor is soaring. Coupang, an e-commerce platform from South Korea, hosted a recruitment event at National Taiwan University, offering a maximum hourly wage of $720 for night shifts, attracting a rush of applicants.
One user shared their experience of earning $17,280 in just three days, sparking lively discussions. This individual worked at Coupang's warehouse in Taoyuan's Guanyin District, where they faced a long line on the first day, taking nearly 2 hours just to complete the waiting process, which was still compensated. They mentioned that punctuality was required to secure a job; being late meant losing the opportunity for high pay.
According to widely shared messages, during the period from June 14 to 18, the first 350 hired could enjoy triple pay rates, with day shifts maxing out at $630 and night shifts at $720. However, some pointed out that while the pay is enticing, the actual work is physically demanding, including tasks like picking, packing, and quality control.
