Shareholders Meeting Update: Largan Electronics Sees Mobile Performance Outpacing Last Year, Darmi Optimistic About U.S. Contributions, Taiwan Asia Pauses Expansion Due to Tariffs

At the shareholders meeting, Largan Electronics Chairman Chen Tianqing remarked that this year’s performance in the mobile sector is positioned to surpass last year's figures, buoyed by new model launches from clients and smoother production of periscope lenses, alongside an uptick in orders for the second half of the year. However, the company faces operational pressures from exchange rate fluctuations and unresolved U.S. tariff situations, necessitating close monitoring of future sales metrics. General Manager Guo Yingli pointed out that tariffs have yet to concretely affect operations, though there are concerns regarding consumer purchasing power which could impact demand. Taiwan Asia also announced at their shareholders meeting that they will not expand production temporarily due to the appreciation of the New Taiwan Dollar amid changing external circumstances. Darmi is optimistic about contributions from the U.S. market, anticipating significant growth in local demand.
